Cool Cats “Operation Find Blue” x Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Campaign
We brought NFT’s to the mainstream with this multifaceted campaign for Cool Cats. Our goal was to evolve Cool Cats from a blue chip NFT brand, to an IP company across all mediums. I led production across the campaign in collaboration with Cool Cats which included animated social videos, Wild OOH Posters, influencer partnerships, print/fabrication, subversive OOH activation videos, and creativity contest, all which culminated in Blue Cat’s reveal as a balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
The narrative of the campaign kicked off with animated social videos where Blue Cat goes missing and his best friend Chugs tries to rally the community to help with operation “Find Blue.” In addition to building momentum on social, we put up tens of thousands of IRL posters OOH in NYC to spread awareness and drive engagement.
We sent kits out to content creators who helped us extend the reach of our campaign and tap into new audiences online.
We worked with a 3D/VFX partner to create photo real videos of gigantic mouse toys placed in iconic NYC locations to further drive the campaign narrative and bridge the digital elements with IRL.
The Blue Cat & Chugs Balloon and reunion at the Macy’s Day Parade (IRL and Virtual) was the crescendo of the campaign and the metrics and earned media exceeded all expectations!
